Gracefully Organized FAQs

What does it mean to be organized?

Many times, people believe that being organized is only for those who are naturally fastidious. However, everyone is organized to some degree, or simply would not be able to function in life. Organization is less about how something looks to others and more about how a person functions in his or her own environment. Organized people know where to find their belongings, paperwork, keys, etc. when they are needed. The organizationally challenged spend precious time looking for things, or even worse, spend money buying things they already have because the item is misplaced.

What is a professional organizer?

A Professional Organizer develops systems and solutions to help people organize all aspects of their lives including their business, home, belongings, and time. Professional Organizing solutions are custom tailored to an individual’s (or business’s) unique needs, goals, and situation.

Why do I need a professional organizer?

Every person or business has a different reason for needing a professional organizer. Frequently, people “don’t have time” to get organized and their lack of organization is adding to their lack of time. It is a vicious cycle. Some people have tried and failed many times to get organized. Other times the situation is simply overwhelming and an outsider is needed to get the process started and keep it going in the right direction.  Click here for a list of questions to ask yourself to determine if a professional organizer is right for you.

How much does a professional organizer cost?

Cost varies according to the size & scope of the project as well as the amount of time the client is willing to contribute to completion of the project. Most projects are billed hourly and according to the number of organizers/helpers working at any given time.      Click here for Gracefully Organized’s Rate information.

I’ve already tried everything & nothing seems to “stick”. Am I hopeless?

You are absolutely not hopeless; you just need a professional organizer! Many “off the shelf” organizing products may seem appealing, but they are ultimately a “one size fits all” solution. By engaging a professional to assess your strengths, weaknesses, and lifestyle you will be able to find a truly unique system that is much more likely to work for you. Organization is not a one-time event; it is a way of life. The more “natural” a solution is for you, the better it will “stick”.  Click here to learn about the Gracefully Organized Process.
